Happy Birthday D,

Sorry, no gifts this time! No, I am not tired and fed up..Just that I am become weak while pretending to be strong all through the time you left. The tattoo is due (if your remember), shall get one soon though, confused about the design.

Ma asked to wish you on her behalf so 'Happy Birthday Durba'. She wanted your no. so that she could call and wish. I wasn't sure about your no. and I thought it is probably not a good idea soI skipped. She said: 'Not fair, D called to wish you on your bday...' . 'She won't ever call again' I assured her although wishing deep down that you do call...sometimes.

It's the worst feeling in the world when you want to call  somebody, to wish her and talk to her but unable to..


Anyways hoping and I am sure you have found love and peace and Happy and Smiling. Take care of your health and Dida.

Why is it that each time I talk to you (through mails)  my vision turns blurry?

Happy Birthday once again. May you get all the happiness you deserve. I will always the cherish the 3 birthdays of ours spent with each another.

And D: just to brighten things, can I inform you something: You one positive thing of you going away is me getting a chance to travel. I go around wandering places, push myself to the limit and ultimately still wish you could be there! Naadaan Parindey...

Off to Darjeeling : Happy New Year

Off to a whirlwind tour of Darjeeling tour of Darjeeling tomorrow...

Ending the year just as I started it and starting a new year in the same way, the travelling continues.. Will have to wish my co passengers in the train on New Years eve! Did lots of travelling in 2011 and learnt a lot too on my travels, missed you in each place I went and I am sure missing you is way beyond my control now.

A BIG THANK YOU : Ma, Dida, Bawesh, Ron, Pechu, Abul, Rohit, Atanu, Titash, Kaku, Rinki, Sis, Chandan, Sourav, Bhulu, Tousif  and the one and only Durba Chatterjee in my life (for not being there but actually being there) for being supportive throughout and being there for me and especially for trying to pull me up when I did not want to get up. Each of your effort (the words, the encouragement, the advice, the presence) actually helped me to sail through 2011. Thank you everybody for your bit. It was a lot for me. Looking forward to your support in the coming years too.. Thank you and yes, wishing you all a very happy new year ahead. May you get all the happiness you deserve. Smile and spread smiles all around you in 2012. Cheers!

You know D, try this when you are lonely: feel the person you love around you, just like as if he is there with you, looking at you, at what you are doing, and you talking and relaying to him and mark me when I say this: you will miss him lesser. I do this and it works wonder though I still wish you were here.

As for me I am going to try to make my life more uncomplicated, I mean simple..

I received a call on New years eve last year, she wished, she cried and she made me cry. Remember? I am sure you won't call this year..

I am going along with Atanu, Bawesh and Pechu. Booked the tickets today. Catch train for Delhi (Kalka Mail) on 7th Jan, reach on 8th, 10th watch the match, 11th catch Rajdhani train back to Kolkata and 12th resume office.

Ra.One Review

Just finished watching Ra.One, its half past 12 at midnight, tomorrow is work but I think I will complete my critical analysis of the movie. I usually don’t write reviews of movies I don’t like but for tonight and Shahrukh I shall make an exception.

Well, the only good thing I liked in Ra.One is Ra.One! I mean the character played by Arjun Rampal (the anti hero). I know some might differ with my choice and say the only good thing is Kareena gyrating her booty/hips (I loved it too) or Akon singing in Hinglish (I liked this too) but Arjun Rampal was fabulous! All thanks to SRK and Mr.Anubhav Sinha. Mr.Sinha, we shall wait for something as good as Tum Bin, in the meantime keep giving us flops like Dus, Cash, Tathastu and the latest being Ra.One!

Of SRK: Before I seen this movie, my friends complained to me about the movie being a complete disaster (knowing fully well I am blind fan of SRK). I countered saying we should atleast give credit to SRK for trying to make something like our own bollywood style game/cartoon super hero. Tonight after watching the movie, I still give you full credit but it was really disappointing: the story was flimsy (not filmy) and the direction was amateurish. At some point during the movie, I got lost trying to figure out what the hell was happening, why was it happening in the first place!

I would like to quote a slogan: ‘Only Sex and SRK sells in Bollywood’. But surely SRK must have given his selling skills away to the Vampy Vidya Balan and Salman Khan or anybody else who entertains us. Cause G.One bored and let down most of us!

Hats off for your attempt and sympathies for failing. Sorry SRK, but Krrish was way ahead in presentation.
